Built in the first half of the 19th century, with its thatched roof, was an annex for the retired master, earthen storehouse, well, and garden for crops, this is the quintessential Matsushiro Castle Town samurai house. The buildings and property remain unchanged, making this a valuable place that has been designated a National Cultural Heritage.
